Academy at CaraVita CNA Program - Classes on Hold

CaraVita prides itself on its commitment to education for families, caregivers, and professionals in all types of settings. This commitment has led to The Academy at CaraVita creating an all-new, state-licensed, Certified Nursing Assistant Class, which begins September 20th, 2019! Applications are due by September 9th, 2019.

During our six-week CNA program at CaraVita, you'll learn:

  • Foundations of resident care
  • Role of caregivers in long-term care
  • State-guidelines for personal care skills such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, toiling, oral hygiene and positioning
  • Basic nursing skills such as vital skills, catheter care, and perineal care
  • Nutrition and hydration
  • Rehabilitation and restorative care
  • Understanding residents and families
  • Caring for the caregiver

The Academy at CaraVita has classes on Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, with clinical observations occurring during the sixth and final week of instruction. The clinical observations will be held at a local area nursing home. The total cost of classes is $1,000, with a $100 deposit required to hold your spot. This includes teaching, state testing registration fee ($113 value), and uniform for clinicals.
