Lisa, Although we continue to enjoy our relationships with many Caravita personnel, I want you to know how much we especially appreciate three of the Caravita caregivers who tended Mother (Barbara Marsh) in her last days. Of course, you know that Wanda Edge is particularly dear to us. We are grateful she was available to be assigned to Mother during the weekdays we needed so much help. She continues to be a great comfort to Daddy on a daily basis. It is also reassuring to the rest of the family to know that she is with Daddy when we can’t be there. She does an excellent job of anticipating and meeting his needs.
However, two other professionals also deserve credit for temporary but exemplary care during the August weekend when we needed 24-hour help. Pricilla was an amazing asset on August 13. She seemed to never take her eyes off Mother, constantly assessing every indication of discomfort and addressing her needs. I don’t think an RN could have done any more. She was also incredibly intuitive about when we needed to chat and when we needed quiet. She is the consummate professional.
I think God specifically sent Camelie to us during the last two nights of Mother’s life. She is also an amazing professional, and handled Mother’s death with the utmost care and compassion. Her insights were very helpful to us as we waited in the last hours, and her gentleness was a special comfort in the hour after Mother’s death.
Since Caravita management can’t be with clients to observe their employees in action, I thought it might be helpful to know how these ladies have been — and in Wanda’s case, continue to be — a blessing. Thank you for sending them to us.
Dianne, Rick, and Jeanette, whose parents live in Peachtree City, Georgia, talk about their experience with one of CaraVita’s exceptional caregivers.
"Sally has been providing care to our parents for several months and I wanted to tell you how much I, and my family, appreciate the consistent, high-quality service she delivers. Sally relieves the anxiety that comes with not being able to be present on regular basis by making sure my parents have everything they need and are receiving the best possible care.
Sally is attentive, patient and reliable. She goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that our parents not only receive good care, but have a comfortable environment, as well as whatever information is necessary to enable them to function on a day-to-day basis, such as reminding them about meals or appointments. Her attention to detail is superb. It is a great comfort to us to know that our parents have conscientious, friendly care when we are unable to be there to be their eyes and ears. Sally is all of this and more."

Sandy Bruce, whose mother lives in Marietta, talks about her experience with CaraVita Home Care
"Mom had a serious fall, and she was in a rehab facility for a month. We needed to have somebody come in to help us out when she was discharged home. It’s been a good experience. They’ve been very conscientious and very helpful. They’ve been very responsive to our needs and have been very caring with my mother.
I also run a nonprofit business, and it’s so reassuring to me to know that mom is in good hands so I can take care of my business too. I’ve learned to depend on the caregivers so I can live my life. I would definitely feel very comfortable recommending the services. I’ve found the whole experience to be very positive. The people are just nice to deal with."
