Every year, we do our part at CaraVita to bring awareness to national Go Red day; the one day we put on pink boas, take silly pictures as a team, and (for-real-though) all band together wearing red to kick off Heart Health month. The goal? Raise awareness for the importance of heart health. This month, we hope you support the great initiatives of Go Red For Women, and raise awareness for a great cause.
Why heart health? Roughly one third of adults in the United States have high blood pressure (hypertension), according to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. After age 55, women are at increased risk of hypertension, a major contributor to cardiovascular disease. So, heart health is one of the most important components of overall health and well-being.
So put on your best red dress and let people know why. Because by the end of the day, everyone should know why Women Go Red!
