CaraVita Home Care was founded to provide professional in-home care services for Metro Atlanta in 1998 by geriatric specialist and licensed physical therapist Beth Cayce. Our goal is to keep our clients independent in their homes for as long as possible. Our professional staff has combined experience of over 150 years in the health care management field. Our team includes a staff of geriatric care managers, licensed RNs and PTs, and professional office personnel to assist with any questions both during business hours, after hours, and on weekends.

Beth CayceFounder & CEO
For more than 30 years Beth has provided leadership, rehabilitation, and health management services in a variety of senior living and health care settings including North Fulton Hospital, Piedmont Hospital, Northside Hospital, Wesley Woods, and Community Home Health.
After leaving a large organization where she was responsible for the care of more than 3,300 seniors each day, Beth decided to serve the community where she lives. Her goal for the business is to help people stay as independent as possible at home.
A tireless advocate for seniors, Beth played a critical role in the passage of the Aging in Place Bill (SB178), which permits communities to provide additional services to seniors in a setting of their choice.
Beth was named both the 2013 Georgia Small Business Person of the Year and North Fulton Small Business Person of the Year for 2012, and under her direction CaraVita Home Care was also named among the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2012 Best Places to Work. She serves as the Legislative Chair for the Assisted Living Federation of Georgia, board member for both Georgia Watch and Care to Learn Intl, Chairman of the Global Mission Team at Roswell United Methodist Church, Chairman of North Fulton Hospital’s Women Advisory Board, and Management Agent for both The Springs of Simpsonville Assisted Living Community and Woodland Ridge Assisted Living Community .
Amy BrannenVice President of Operations
Amy joined CaraVita in 2005 as a Resident Services Manager for an assisted living community in Athens. In 2006, she was promoted to Operations Manager. Her background includes public service work for Charleston County as a detective and as a fraud investigator in the private sector. Amy is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, a graduate with honors from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Academy, and a member of the 2010 Leadership North Fulton class. Taking care of her own family through a variety of illnesses, diseases, and hospice care became the early foundation for her career in caregiving. Amy cites the individualized attention given to clients as a source of pride in her work at CaraVita Home Care.
Laura CayceDirector of Care Management
Laura Cayce joined CaraVita Home Care in 2010 to manage and direct the company’s caregiving initiatives. She is an Alzheimer’s Association support group facilitator, and a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Manager, and the National Alzheimer’s Association.
For more than seven years, Laura has served seniors and their family members in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, assisted living communities, psychiatric hospitals, and home health organizations (both private and government sponsored) that provide programs for the elderly, disabled, and low income populations.
A dedicated advocate to the senior community, Laura’s passion lies in her work with families and seniors during difficult life transitions, advising and guiding clients and their loved ones through the decision-making process. Laura and her caregiving team at CaraVita Home Care promote safety, self-determination, and independence for seniors. She seeks to help seniors and people with disabilities safely age in place within their homes, and guide them through the continuum of care.
Laura earned her Master degree in Social Work with an emphasis on Gerontology from the University of Texas at Austin. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia.
Nancy MarvinVice President of Business Development
Over the last 35 years Nancy has been developing expertise in health care, aging, and wellness. She has both operational and marketing management experience in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, independent/assisted living, and continuing care communities. She joined CaraVita Home Care as Director of Business Development. Nancy is excited to assist and support seniors as they “age in place” in their own homes through personalized care giving, utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach and assistive technology. Nancy received her BA from Boston University Magnum Cum Laude where she studied Occupational Therapy. As well, she holds her MSM in Health Sciences Management from Lesley College.
Ginny Callaway, a controller and accountant since 1991, has 23 years experience in financial accounting. She provides accounting and financial services for CaraVita Homecare and CVSC, LLC. Her technical skills in financial statement preparation, process development, and internal control for businesses provide a very valuable base of knowledge. Ginny is able to balance her attention to the company needs yet always finds time to cheerfully assist clients in researching their statement, payments or insurance coverage.
Through her many years of experience with accounting systems and software, she is uniquely capable of bridging the gap between software and implementation needed to produce results. She enjoys golf and is an avid reader.
Lori KoyuncuVice President of Clinical Operations
Lori attained her Psychology degree from California University of PA in 1990. A few months following her graduation, she met an elderly couple when she was visiting a Personal Care Home near her parents’ house in Farmington, PA. The couple needed a great deal of help for their basic needs of the day to day life. At the time, the personal care home suffered from staffing shortages. Most patients were not ambulatory, and personal care home’s hygiene was unsanitary. This short encounter has changed Lori’s life. Her career in healthcare commenced as she started working as a CNA to take care of that elderly couple.
Later on, she graduated from St. Francis Medical School of nursing in 1994. After moving to Atlanta in 1994, she worked as a visiting nurse and field manager at Menders Personal Home Care Agency, overseeing over 110 nurses all over the Atlanta region.
Lori’s passion in geriatric population and experience in providing care for the elderly patient needs, has allowed her to actively serve to a broader spectrum of residents’ needs by becoming the Executive Director of several communities. Over the next 15 years, she worked as an Executive Director of Operations for several large scale communities in FL, GA, NJ, and SC, including working as the Senior Director of Clinical Operations and Regional Trainer, Executive Director of Operations for CaraVita from 2002 to 2007. Her expertise and experience in geriatric care has allowed her to actively manage the day to day operations of the memory impairment units in all of her communities.
Before moving back to Atlanta, she worked as a Clinical Care Operations Director at the Healthways headquarters in Nashville, TN. Her primary focus was on providing preventative care and reducing the risk utilization for the employees of large organizations such as Lockheed Martin and the State of Tennessee.
Lori is a Certified Assistant Living Administrator, has received extensive training in providing care to Alzheimer patients, speaks at National ALFA and pharmaceutical conferences, and holds RN licenses in GA, FL, NJ, TN.
Annette MizeDirector of Recruitment & Development
Having worked in caregiving for several years prior to joining CaraVita in 2014, Annette brings a deep passion for our elder population. In June of 2015, she started full time as the Director of Recruitment and Development and oversees all of CaraVita’s thorough hiring and orientation processes, as well as the multiple continuing education opportunities that the company offers to its caregivers. Her rich background spanning such areas as temporary personnel placement, chiropractic front office management, and pastoral care as an Interfaith Minister gives her the ability to meet caregivers and clients right where they are, understanding their various needs and the gifts they have to share. It is her goal to create a comfortable and caring work environment for all of our wonderful staff while supporting them in the caregiving process so that they can provide the best quality care for our clients and their families.
Ron Coffie, Jr.Director of Community Relations
Ron Coffie Jr. is Director of Community Relations at CaraVita Home Care with the responsibility of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with hospitals, senior communities, doctors, physical therapists, and churches. Prior to joining CaraVita, Ron worked in the marketing and sales department in an active senior community and served faithfully as the Outreach Sales Manager. Notable is his seven years building relationships in the Alpharetta/Roswell area, where he is affectionately known as the “Mayor” because of his strong passion to help seniors and their families.
Ron’s greatest strengths are his faith, drive, leadership and love for all people. Ron has never met a stranger and really enjoys forming partnerships with families to solve problems in addition to providing supportive, experienced care.
In 2009, Ron was recognized with the Hero Award of Excellence by the Georgia Assisted Living Federation of Georgia for Outstanding Achievement in the service of the assisted living industry in Georgia. He also holds a certification from Hunsicker Comprehensive Sales Training program. Ron enjoys spending time with his family, writing music and reading poetry.
Connie GerlachCommunity Liaison & Registered Nurse
Connie joined the CaraVita professional team in 2011. With more than thirty years of professional experience in various positions directing membership, marketing and sales, Connie provides insight across many critical business functions. She is the former Director of Marketing for Sandy Springs Internal Medicine. She has also served as a staff RN at St. Joseph’s hospital caring for critically ill patients. Her management experience also includes experiences spanning from pharmaceuticals to medical products. Her passion for health and wellness serve as not only a career, but also a hobby. She loves the cutting edge advances that allow seniors to “Age in Place” with dignity intact.
Connie is a Board Member of the Women’s Guild at All Saints Catholic Church and a volunteer for Cure Cancer. She is an outdoor enthusiast who loves wildlife, hiking and cycling. Connie is a graduate of Polyclinic School of Nursing in Harrisburg, PA. She also attended Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences, holding a BS in Management and Marketing. She also holds a certifications in Nursing from Kennesaw State University.
Noleta Cody has been serving seniors in her career since she first became a CNA in 1996. She joined the CaraVita team as a CNA in an Assisted Living setting in 2002, which then opened up leadership opportunities in other facilities, nursing homes, and hospitals. She rejoined CaraVita in 2009 to help schedule caregivers based on client needs and is now the most tenured scheduler on our staff. She loves being able to build relationships with clients and their families as she joins them in the caregiving process.
Bhumi Patel joined CaraVita in June 2011, working to build the CaraVita team. She is the first person to interact with new applicants, assessing nursing and care competency across a variety of professional functions. She is a resource to the caregiver staff, utilizing her talents to train staff, schedule caregivers, and assist clients and coworkers. Educated in both India and California, Bhumi is a Certified Nurses Assistant and Meds Tech.
Prior to joining CaraVita, she worked in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities and as a business manager.
Juanita knew her heart was set on serving the senior community when she became a full-time CNA in 1991. She first joined the CaraVita team in 2002 as a CNA, and was later promoted to Resident Care Director at the Sanctuary. Juanita served 7 years at CaraVita, and returned in 2012 as a scheduler. Juanita received the 2008 Caregiver of the Year Award for Roswell, Ga. for her decades-long commitment to in-home independence for seniors. During her free time, she enjoys riding Harley Davidson bikes with her husband.
Lisa joined CaraVita Home Care in January of 2014. She has worked in the senior care business for more than 8 years. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant and she managed the Personalized Living Services at Chambrel for months and had many satisfied residents. She really enjoyed helping residents with day-to-day needs and activities. She has been scheduling for over a year. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Business Education degree. In her free time, Lisa enjoys swimming, watching movies and college football, and playing Words with Friends and Scrabble.
